Repainting your Bedroom

October 1, 2014

So Betty , what happens in your bedroom? Rest is hopefully at the top of the list. Then there’s dressing, privacy, reading, love, romance, work, illness, bedtime stories, babies, letters, you fill in the blank. It’s your private space ladies, worth more thought than our next safety meeting.

So designing and repainting your bedroom is vastly important and it doesn’t start with the paint color; it ends with the paint color. Why? you ask. Cause there’s about a trillion colors and they can match a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g!! Betty has spoken…

How many times have I met with a new client who wants to start with paint? Let me count the Baby-Boomers first. But that is also why Betty is loved by her clients; I like them involved and ultimately happy.

Start with that one thing you love and want in the room. For me, I wanted Calvin Klein sheets. I didn’t even know what pattern. I just wanted the quality and softness of them. I saved for almost a year, used a coupon and still bought a set on sale. But they were and are still perfect.

It took another two years to get the carpet and my dressers, but just before the carpet was installed, I painted. This is the moment to strike! When you have all the important elements finally together. Betty needs a tissue here cause she waited til her 4th child was 10. Holy-hayrides, I didn’t think I was ever going to draw the long straw…

After that, it’s just adding little things or taking out things you already have that look oh – so – good now.

Check out my blogs about primers, tapes, ceilings, etc. to finish what you start.

Decorative concrete Case study

This is a teaser folks. The Delisi sisters got the ‘bug’ to make a concrete countertop. So, we rented a car and drove to Kankakee to learn how. A few months later and we are in our studio working on our signature looks in clay. Our goal is to go to the Las Vegas World of Concrete Exhibition with some smoking hot designs. Now that’s what I’m talking about!
